CellPoint Digital extended its partnership with Continuum Commerce that was started in 2021 for integrating FX (Foreign Exchange) services and multi-currency of Continuum into pioneering payment orchestration platform of CellPoint, enabling consumers to choose the currency and payment method they want. CellPoint Digital is a key player in the digital payment optimisation and orchestration streamlining digital payments, and Continuum Commerce enables merchants to reclaim lost foreign exchange margin while enhancing customers using its multi-currency technology.

Continuum approached CellPoint to have the benefits of its platform as the payment orchestration platform has resolved several specific airline sector problems. The platform also offers cross-border payments, and other services.

Kristian Gjerding, CEO, CellPoint Digital, said, “Cross-border transactions will continue to increase as borders become less relevant to shoppers, and merchants wanting to keep global shoppers engaged and reduce processing costs, must find new ways to optimise these transactions. We already have a strong partnership and existing integration with Continuum, having successfully centralised its multi-currency and FX services via our platform. As the increase in online shopping and eCommerce fuels unprecedented growth in cross-border transactions, we’re looking forward to the opportunity to expand together into even more verticals.”

Integration of CellPoint’s platform and Continuum’s services will offer better consumer experience, enhance checkout conversion, and create a new revenue flow for vendors. Along with these benefits, the association will also help manage the risk added to FX money exchange.

Eamonn O’SheaCEO, Continuum, commented “According to Gartner, the average conversion rate of eCommerce websites is 2.86%; allowing customers to transact in their currency of choice and with their preferred payment method will increase conversion rates by up to 20% as well as increasing the average transaction value by up to 8%. We are delighted to extend our very successful partnership with CellPoint beyond airlines into other markets.”
