Verisk, a leading data analytics provider, is to acquire a Swedish InsurTech company, Mavera. This acquisition will help Verisk grow as a technology and analytics partner to the global insurance market and accelerate its expansion in continental Europe.
Mavera, an insurance company that started in 2008, has made a name for itself in the Nordic insurance industry as a result of its SaaS platform and data-driven strategy for handling complicated personal injury claims. The company’s decision support platform, which combines data with medical knowledge from its exclusive network of medical advisers throughout the Nordic region, is designed to simplify claims evaluations and decision-making.

Verisk revealed last year that it had acquired ACTINEO, a company in Germany and Austria that specializes in digitizing and evaluating medical evidence in personal injury cases. This also includes ACTINEO’s controlling stake in the joint venture company ANTEVIS, which provides cutting-edge digital services for the classification and evaluation of medical malpractice damage claims in Europe. This transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
